OPEN DAY AT KARORI DEPOT and
50th BIRTHDAY TRIP IN BUS 322
*
On Saturday,
24 November, 2007, the Omnibus Society’s workshop and
stored vehicles at the Go Wellington/Stagecoach Depot, Darwin St., Karori, may be inspected by
Society members and members of the public who are interested, between 1.00 pm and 2.00 pm.
At 2.00
pm 1957 AEC Reliance 322 will depart from the Depot on a
trip to celebrate its 50th Birthday (actual birthday 26 November). Again,
Society members and members of the public are welcome to join this trip, at the
cost of $5.00 per person.
It is planned to go through the city to Courtenay Place,
then up to the top of Mt.
Victoria (photos!!) From
there the bus will head for Constable
St., Evans
Bay, then go via Shelly and Lyall Bays
to Island Bay, returning from there via the city
to Karori Depot. Time allowing, a trip to Brooklyn
may be possible.

BRIEF NEWS: On Saturday, 3 November, the Omnibus Society AGM was
held. The Committee remains the same with the addition of Henry Steele.

Hammond Bedford VAS has done its first trip, to the Hawkes Bay.
