To confuse those not familiar with Rotorua both Reesby Buses and EC Reesby acquired ex New Plymouth
MAN SL202s. This is Reesby Buses 8 previously New Plymouth 1 and since Leopard 57. Passenger trains to Rotorua ceased
in the 1970s and the station was sold off. After the railways were privatised in 1991 the Silver Fern railcars,
originally built for daylight Aucklnad-Wellington service were used for services from Auckland to Rotorua and Tauranga.
As Rotorua had no station the trains stopped at an industrial area on the northern ede of town and Reesby Buses took
the passengers to the central city coach station. Note the steps used for getting on and off the railcar.
