Phoenix Assurance and Provident Life advertising on 382 November 1984. The John St express service was non stop from
the Railway to Wellington High School and Wellington Polytech (now Massey University) in Wallace St. The bus would be
full and the return service to Railway meant that Mt Cook commuters could be guaranteed a ride even on wet days when
the Newtown Park buses were full from Newtown.
