These two Demac C45F bodied coaches are unusual in being mid-engined ECR570s. (Yes I know I have only found one - can anyone help with details of the other) Nelson SBL had 2 of these coaches built, numbers 12 and 14. The reason this bus to be known as Isuzu Mics, may be because Nelson SBL did not want a rear engine and also in this configuration the gearbox is back to front, therefore before getting the body built the chassis was cut and the rear turned 180 degrees and a mid mount chassis was born. This also meant the gearbox was not back to front. The mid engine also allowed a walk in boot. Number 12 is built 100mm higher than number 14.
